Frequently Asked Questions
Find clear answers to common questions about Australian migration assistance, consultations, visa matters, professional fees, application support, and what you can expect when working with Visa Route Migration.
Will a registered migration agent help me?
Yes. Visa Route Migration is led by Rose Khangura, a Registered Migration Agent. Her formal registered name is Rachhpal Kaur Khangura and her MARN is 2619247. We provide professional Australian migration and visa assistance with an emphasis on understanding each client's circumstances, explaining relevant considerations clearly and setting realistic expectations rather than making promises about visa outcomes.
What visa services can you offer me?
We provide professional assistance across a range of Australian visa and migration matters. Our priority service areas include Family and Partner Visas, Skilled Migration Visas, Employer-Sponsored Visas, Student and Graduate Visas, and Visitor and Temporary Visa matters. The wider service offering also includes Working Holiday pathways, Medical Treatment Visa matters, Resident Return Visas and Bridging Visa matters where appropriate. Because individual circumstances and service scope can differ, we encourage you to contact us if you are unsure whether your particular visa matter is one we can assist with.
Can you assess my visa eligibility?
Yes, where an eligibility or visa-options assessment is appropriate to your matter. A detailed professional assessment normally forms part of a formal engagement and may be provided as a separate professional service or as part of broader visa application assistance. We do not confirm that someone is definitely eligible based only on general website information or a brief initial enquiry. Visa eligibility can depend on individual circumstances, the applicable requirements and supporting information, so the appropriate level of assessment needs to match the matter.
Can you review my visa application?
Yes. We can provide document review or application review as an agreed professional service where appropriate. This can be useful if you have already prepared some or all of your application but would like professional assistance with a particular part of the process. The exact review scope is agreed with you so that you understand what we will examine and what remains your responsibility.
Can you handle my full application?
We can provide broader or end-to-end visa application assistance where this is appropriate and agreed as part of our professional engagement. Depending on the matter, this may involve assessing relevant visa options, preparing or reviewing documentation, helping organise supporting evidence, preparing or completing an application, lodging it where included in our scope, communicating with relevant authorities where appropriate and assisting with requests for further information. The exact service is agreed for your individual matter rather than assuming every client needs the same level of assistance.
Can I get help with one stage?
Yes. You do not necessarily need to engage us for an entire visa application. Limited-scope assistance may be available for a particular stage or task, such as professional advice, a visa-options assessment, document review, application review or assistance with another agreed part of your matter. We will discuss what you have already completed, what you need help with and whether a limited engagement is appropriate before agreeing on the professional scope.
Can you help me while I’m overseas?
Yes. We can assist clients who are overseas when their matter concerns Australian migration or an Australian visa. Our physical base is in Clyde North, Victoria, but our services are not restricted to South-East Melbourne or even to Australia. Remote assistance is available for clients throughout Australia and overseas, subject to the nature of the matter and our professional scope.
What can I expect from your approach?
We aim to provide personalised professional assistance rather than a high-volume visa-processing experience. We take individual circumstances into account, communicate in understandable language and aim to be transparent about relevant opportunities, limitations and next steps. We also recognise that two people asking about the same visa may have very different histories or circumstances, so our approach is based on understanding the individual matter rather than treating every enquiry as a standard template.
Who will help me with my visa matter?
Our practice is led by Rose Khangura. Rose has two years of experience in migration and visa services, including practical work with visa files, documentation, application preparation and migration-related matters. Her confirmed qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Migration Law & Practice from Victoria University, completed in 2024, and a Diploma in Management. Rose is a Registered Migration Agent under the formal registered name Rachhpal Kaur Khangura, MARN 2619247.
What if I do not know which visa pathway to explore?
That is a common reason people contact us. You do not need to work out the entire Australian migration system before speaking with us. We can discuss your circumstances, immigration history where relevant, your goals and the nature of your concerns. From there, we can identify potentially relevant visa or migration pathways at an appropriate level and explain what the next step may involve. If choosing between pathways requires a detailed professional assessment, we will explain when formal engagement is needed.
What should I tell you when I first contact you?
Start by telling us what you would like help with and giving us enough background to understand the general nature of your enquiry. Depending on your circumstances, this may involve discussing your current situation, relevant immigration history, your goals, concerns and any timing issues that may affect the matter. We may then ask for further information or supporting documents where appropriate. Providing accurate and complete information helps us understand your enquiry and determine the appropriate next step.
Will you tell me what documents I need?
Where document requirements form part of our agreed assistance, we can guide you about supporting information and evidence relevant to your matter. The documents needed can differ significantly depending on the visa, application stage and individual circumstances, so we do not use one generic document checklist for every client. We may request supporting information or documents as the matter progresses and can assist with organising or reviewing evidence where that service is included in our engagement.
Can my family be included in my visa application?
That depends on the particular Australian visa pathway and your individual circumstances. Different visas can have different requirements concerning family members, and website information alone should not be treated as confirmation that a particular person can be included. We can discuss your family circumstances as part of your enquiry and, where appropriate, assess the relevant requirements or explain what needs to be investigated before you proceed.
Can I apply while I am already in Australia?
Possibly, but the answer depends on your circumstances and the requirements applying to the visa pathway you are considering. Your current immigration situation can be important when determining what options may be available while you are in Australia. Rather than assuming that a visa can be applied for onshore, we can review the relevant circumstances and explain what requires further assessment before you make decisions about an application.
What if my current visa is expiring?
Contact us as early as you reasonably can. Visa expiry and other time-sensitive situations may involve important deadlines, limited options or circumstances that need individual assessment. We are willing to consider time-sensitive matters, but we do not advertise guaranteed urgent, same-day or emergency assistance. If your current visa is approaching expiry, tell us about the timing when you first contact us so we can determine whether the matter is within our scope and what next steps may need to be considered.
How long will my Australian visa application take?
There is no single timeframe that applies to every Australian visa application, and we do not guarantee processing times. Timing can differ according to the visa pathway, individual circumstances, the information or evidence involved and how the relevant authorities process the matter. Where processing-time information is relevant, it should be considered in the context of current authoritative information rather than treated as a promise about your individual application. We can explain the process and relevant timing considerations for your matter without promising an approval date.
What professional fees and costs should I expect?
Professional fees and applicable costs depend on the nature of your matter and the professional assistance you require. We do not publish standard packages, starting prices or assumed fixed fees on the website. Once we understand the service you need, we can provide relevant information about professional fees and costs before you proceed with the applicable engagement. The initial consultation itself is free, but a detailed professional assessment or further migration assistance may require formal engagement.
Can you guarantee my visa will be approved?
No. We do not guarantee visa approvals, invitations, nominations, sponsorship outcomes or other migration outcomes. Decisions are not made by Visa Route Migration, and individual matters are affected by the applicable requirements and circumstances. Our role is to provide professional assistance within the agreed scope, help you understand relevant requirements and considerations, assist with preparation where engaged to do so and communicate realistic expectations. We believe transparency about both opportunities and limitations is more useful than making promises that cannot responsibly be made.
What happens after I formally engage you?
The exact process depends on your matter and the service we have agreed to provide. Generally, we first make sure the professional scope is clear and then provide the agreed assistance. Depending on your engagement, this could involve further assessment, professional migration advice, document or application review, preparation of documentation, organisation of supporting evidence, application preparation or lodgement, assistance with requests for information and guidance through relevant stages of the process. Not every step applies to every client, so the work is matched to the agreed scope of your matter.
What do you need from me during my matter?
We need you to provide complete, truthful and accurate information, supply requested documents within relevant timeframes and carefully review information or documents when asked. We also expect you to tell us promptly if your circumstances change and to cooperate when further information or evidence is required. Migration matters can depend heavily on the accuracy of the information available, so good communication and timely cooperation are an important part of working together.
Can you help if more information is requested on my application?
We may be able to assist with requests for further information where this is appropriate to your matter and included within our professional scope. We can review what has been requested, consider the relevant circumstances and assist with preparing or organising an appropriate response where engaged to do so. If you receive a formal request concerning an existing application, contact us with the relevant documents and any stated deadline so we can determine whether and how we may assist.
Can you help with my refused or cancelled visa?
We can consider visa refusal, visa cancellation and review-related matters on a case-by-case basis. Before confirming that we can assist, we may need to consider your circumstances, the relevant decision, applicable requirements, available options and whether the matter falls within our professional scope. We do not claim that every refusal can be overturned, every cancellation can be challenged successfully or every review matter will be accepted. If you have received a decision, contact us promptly and provide the relevant information so the matter can be considered appropriately.
Can you help with an urgent visa matter?
We are willing to consider time-sensitive migration matters, but each situation needs to be assessed individually. Urgency can arise because of an approaching visa expiry, a deadline or another change in circumstances, but we do not advertise 24/7, same-day or guaranteed emergency migration assistance. Tell us about any important date or deadline when you first contact us. We can then determine whether the matter is within our professional scope and whether we are able to assist in the circumstances.
Can you help my sponsoring employer too?
Where appropriate, we can assist employers with sponsorship-related or nomination-related matters connected with employer-sponsored migration. We primarily assist visa applicants, and employer-side assistance is not automatically included in every applicant's engagement. If both you and an employer need professional assistance, we can discuss the circumstances and determine what work may be appropriate and how the professional scope should be arranged.
Can you help me choose a university or course?
We provide Australian migration and visa services, not education placement or study-abroad agency services. We can assist with Student Visa and relevant graduate migration matters within our professional scope, but we do not present Visa Route Migration as a service for university admissions, institution placement or course selection. If your enquiry concerns the visa or migration side of studying in Australia, you can contact us to discuss the type of assistance you require.
Can you help me immigrate to another country?
Our current professional services relate to Australian migration and Australian visas. We do not advertise immigration services under the migration systems of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand or other countries. You can still work with us while physically located overseas if the matter concerns migration to Australia or another Australian visa issue.
Where are you based, and can you serve my area?
Visa Route Migration is based in Clyde North, Victoria, with a primary local focus on South-East Melbourne, including areas such as Cranbourne, Berwick, Officer, Pakenham, Narre Warren and nearby suburbs. Our service is not restricted to the local area. We can also assist clients throughout Victoria, throughout Australia and overseas where the matter concerns Australian migration. Remote service makes it possible to work with us without living close to Clyde North.
Can I meet you in person at Clyde North?
In-person consultations may be available by appointment. Our Clyde North address is primarily the business address, so we ask clients to arrange an appointment before attending rather than treating the location as an unrestricted walk-in office. If you would prefer to meet in person, contact us first so we can discuss your enquiry and arrange the appropriate consultation method.
Can I speak with you in Punjabi or Hindi?
Yes. Rose can confidently communicate with clients in English, Punjabi and Hindi for consultations and migration matters. If you are more comfortable discussing your circumstances in Punjabi or Hindi, let us know when you contact us. Clear communication is particularly important when discussing migration history, documents, requirements and personal circumstances, so we want the consultation method and language to support an accurate conversation.
How can I communicate with you remotely?
We can communicate with clients through phone, video or online consultation, email and WhatsApp, depending on the nature of the matter, your circumstances and your preferred communication method. Remote consultation allows us to assist people across Australia as well as clients overseas who need help with Australian migration matters. In-person appointments may also be available in Clyde North when arranged beforehand.
What if my circumstances are complicated?
You can still contact us. Complicated circumstances are one of the reasons people seek professional migration assistance. We will first try to understand the issue and determine whether it falls within our professional scope. Depending on the matter, further information, supporting evidence or a formal professional assessment may be required before meaningful advice can be provided. We do not assume that a complicated case has either a positive or negative outcome without properly considering the circumstances.
What if my matter is outside your scope?
We may decline a matter if we believe we cannot appropriately assist, if it falls outside our professional scope, if there is a conflict of interest or if the circumstances or instructions create professional concerns. Where specialist assistance outside our scope is required, referral to an appropriate professional may be considered where necessary. We would rather be clear about professional boundaries than accept a matter we are not appropriately placed to handle.
How do cancellations, rescheduling and refunds work?
Cancellation, rescheduling and refund arrangements depend on the applicable terms of engagement and the circumstances of the particular matter. We do not publish a single universal cancellation window, refund percentage or rescheduling rule because those details have not been established as one standard formula for every engagement. Relevant terms are provided before formal engagement so you can understand the conditions that apply to the professional service you are considering.
How do I start working with Visa Route Migration?
The simplest first step is to contact us and book a free initial consultation. We will discuss the general nature of your enquiry, learn about your circumstances and identify what you are seeking help with. From there, we can determine whether we may be able to assist and explain possible next steps. If detailed assessment, professional advice or application assistance is required, we can then discuss the appropriate professional engagement and scope before further work begins.
